Drive North, visiting the Matakohe Kauri Museum, &Waipoua Kauri Forest, to Omapere on Hokianga; Day 5 drive to Kaitaia; Day 6 day take a local safari bus along 90-Mile Beach to Cape Reinga; Day 7 drive via Whangaroa & Kerikeri to Bay of Islands; Day 8 in Bay of Islands; Day 9 drive Bay of Islands via Miranda Bird Centre to Thames; Day 10 explore the Coromandel Peninsula to Whitianga; Day 11 visit Hot Water Beach, drive on to Tairua; Day 12 visit Puketui goldmines, drive via Mt Maunganui to Whakatane; Day 13 morning optional boat excursion to White Island (weather dependent); drive to Rotorua; Day 14 in Rotorua; walking in Waimangu Volcanic Valley; Day 15 drive via Waitomo & Kawhia back to Auckland.
