7 days of spectacular scenery, some of the best in the world. Our special tour includes 2 nights in Queenstown, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the 'Adventure Capital of New Zealand' before heading to the Southern fjords. Milford Sound is the most famous of New Zealand's fjords and, although the smallest, is dominated by spectacular Mitre Peak, rising directly from the waters to a height of 5551ft (1692m). Accomodation in Milford Sound is on board the 'Milford Mariner', a comfortable purpose-built overnigh boat. After exploring Milford Sound you will return to Te Anau for the night before travelling on to Doubtful Sound, your next overnight fjord experience. Dountful Sound is far larger than Milford, has several spectacularly beautiful arms & numerous islands, home to NZ fur seals, Fiordland crested penguins (depending on the season) and a resident pod of bottlenose dolphins. The 'Firodland Navigator' will moor overnight in one of the arms of the fjord. Both boats have kayaks available for evening excursions and also run tender-craft trips. Finally you return back over the Wilmot Pass and Lake Manapouri before being driven back to Queenstown.
